Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Kostic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernado Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavares comes into a darkened arena with his song building. All Of The Lights kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aron Kostic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fernado Tavares!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostic slaps away a takedown attempt from Tavares, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tavares shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kostic sprawls well. Kostic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tavares gets slowly back to his feet.
Fernado Tavares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kostic closes the distance and clinches.
Kostic creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Kostic pulls Tavares into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tavares got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kostic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tavares has managed to get both his arms back between Kostic's legs - danger averted.
Kostic seems keen to control Tavares's posture.
Kostic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tavares on the ground.
Tavares postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kostic looking to control.

Kostic is really struggling to control Tavares but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Kostic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tavares has picked Kostic up and slammed him! Kostic can't keep hold of the triangle and Tavares manages to pass to side control!
Tavares thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Kostic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tavares wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kostic, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kostic tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Kostic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tavares has an Americana. Kostic didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tavares is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tavares hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Fernado Tavares!
Fernado Tavares decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
