Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sho Fukamachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Streder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fukamachi comes into the arena with Genki Sudo world order mindshift blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sho Fukamachi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Streder!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fukamachi.

Fukamachi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Streder has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fukamachi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Streder sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Fukamachi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fukamachi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Streder, who protects the arm well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Streder can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fukamachi trying to control the action but Streder is working from the bottom.
Fukamachi throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Fukamachi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fukamachi wants to control but Streder is keeping him busy.

Fukamachi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Streder is trying to get back to his feet.
Streder is not content to let Fukamachi control the position.
Fukamachi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Streder!

Fukamachi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Streder looks a forlorn figure.
Streder is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fukamachi throwing strikes here but Streder is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Fukamachi lands a heavy elbow.


It looks like Frank Streder has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fukamachi has control of Streder's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Streder regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fukamachi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Streder has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Fukamachi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Streder is surviving well by controlling Fukamachi's body position as best he can.

Fukamachi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Streder's face.
Streder wants to try and get back to his feet.
Fukamachi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Streder is looking to escape.
Streder is in a horrible position here. Fukamachi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fukamachi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Streder is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fukamachi drops a big elbow. That's hurt Streder! More shots from Fukamachi and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sho Fukamachi!
A relieved looking Sho Fukamachi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
