Kobiashi has chosen Shinobi vs The Dragon as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Kobiashi darts in trying to clinch
and Gonzalez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kobiashi catches Gonzalez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gonzalez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kobiashi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kobiashi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kobiashi misses with a series of wild punches.
Gonzalez looks to score with a jab to the body but Kobiashi is just out of range.
Gonzalez swats away the attempt to clinch by Kobiashi.

and Gonzalez counters with a stiff right hand.

Kobiashi throws a nice looking combination but Gonzalez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kobiashi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gonzalez and Kobiashi are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Gonzalez throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Kobiashi into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Gonzalez knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sergio Gonzalez!
Sergio Gonzalez very nearly forgot to thank Milwaukee's Best 159's - $45 amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
