Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bekjan Askaraliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Askaraliev comes to the cage accompanied by Yerbolat- Men Kazakhpyn. Daniel Greene will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bekjan Askaraliev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Greene!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Greene closes the distance and clinches.
Greene creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Askaraliev tries for a takedown but Greene manages to get underhooks.

Greene manages to break the clinch.
Askaraliev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Greene moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Greene wants to clinch.
Bekjan Askaraliev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Askaraliev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Greene circles away quickly and effectively.
Askaraliev moves out of range as Greene throws a body kick.
Greene is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Greene.
Askaraliev is breathing heavily.
Greene throws a head kick that misses.
Askaraliev closes the distance and clinches up with Greene, looking for a takedown. Askaraliev pushes Greene against the cage but Greene circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bekjan Askaraliev. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Askaraliev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Askaraliev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Askaraliev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Greene tries to buck Askaraliev off but Askaraliev is having none of it.
Greene wants to get back to his feet but Askaraliev drags him back down.
Askaraliev is putting a hurting on Greene here, landing some big shots from side control.
Askaraliev misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Askaraliev tries for a kimura but Greene is defending well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Askaraliev working the ground and pound but Greene is defending the strikes.
Greene tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Askaraliev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Askaraliev lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greene is looking to regain half guard here but Askaraliev keeps moving and retains side control.
Askaraliev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Askaraliev tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Greene can do anything to dispel that myth.

Askaraliev in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Greene is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
