Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Basti Haddl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Johnstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basti Haddl could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ray Johnstone's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haddl stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnstone. Johnstone gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnstone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Johnstone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haddl tries to avoid it but Johnstone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haddl to the ground. Haddl escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Basti Haddl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Johnstone.
Johnstone fails with a takedown attempt.
Johnstone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Haddl misses with an uppercut. Johnstone saw that one coming.
Johnstone has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Johnstone there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Ray Johnstone has been cut.
Johnstone shoots in looking for a takedown but Haddl manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnstone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Haddl throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnstone.

Johnstone darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Johnstone is trying to work for a kimura but Haddl is defending well.
Johnstone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Haddl's head.

Haddl is defending against the submission attempts here by Johnstone.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnstone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Haddl sees it coming and defends easily.

Johnstone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnstone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Johnstone wants to control from the top but Haddl keeps moving.

Johnstone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Haddl dives on top into guard.

Haddl got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnstone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Haddl has managed to get both his arms back between Johnstone's legs - danger averted.
Haddl tries to stand but Johnstone is controlling from the bottom.
Johnstone has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Haddl has passed into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnstone tries to escape but Haddl is in control.

A close round but Ray Johnstone will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Haddl lands a big uppercut and Johnstone crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Johnstone looks OK. Haddl waves Johnstone back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnstone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haddl tries to avoid it but Johnstone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haddl to the ground. Haddl escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Basti Haddl is winning the standup battle so far.
Johnstone dives in and grabs Haddl's left leg, looking for a takedown. Haddl pushes down on Johnstone's head and hops out.
Haddl throws out a powerful jab.

Johnstone is rocked!
Johnstone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Haddl avoids it really well and circles away.
Johnstone is still on wobbly legs! Can Haddl finish him?

Haddl throws an overhand right that drops Johnstone like a sack of potatoes! Haddl dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
