And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Saint Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint Pierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Rodriguez sprawls well. He's pushed Saint Pierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rodriguez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rodriguez leaves Saint Pierre with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lucho Rodriguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georges Saint Pierre.
Saint Pierre avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Saint Pierre shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Saint Pierre was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Saint Pierre looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Saint Pierre has hold of Rodriguez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rodriguez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saint Pierre wants to finish this one by submission but Rodriguez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Saint Pierre.

Rodriguez is desperately trying to improve his position but Saint Pierre has a good base and remains in mount.

Saint Pierre working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Rodriguez turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Saint Pierre off and cradles Rodriguez's limp body as Saint Pierre celebrates with his corner.
