The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mamute.
Lesnar shoots in looking for a takedown but Mamute manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lesnar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mamute stands up over Lesnar, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

and Mamute counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lesnar thinking.

Mamute closes the distance and clinches.
Mamute tightens his grip and picks Lesnar up, before dumping him to the ground. Lesnar manages to land in guard.

Mamute is trying to control the action in half guard but Lesnar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Mamute frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Andre Mamute overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
