Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wes Ekwall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Shitstack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ekwall comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park--One Step Closer. Mac Shitstack has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wes Ekwall's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shitstack throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Shitstack throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ekwall throws a leg kick
enabling Shitstack to counter with a crisp jab.
Shitstack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ekwall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shitstack moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ekwall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Shitstack. Shitstack obviously looking to wear him down.
Shitstack tries a low kick but Ekwall avoids it.
Shitstack throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Ekwall pushes Shitstack up against the cage in a clinch.

Ekwall shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shitstack as he avoids it easily.
Mac Shitstack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shitstack keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Shitstack is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ekwall.
Shitstack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Shitstack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ekwall shoots in and drives through. Shitstack sprawls well.
Ekwall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ekwall dives in and grabs Shitstack's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shitstack pushes down on Ekwall's head and hops out.

Good leg kick by Shitstack there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ekwall shoots in looking for a takedown but Shitstack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ekwall's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Shitstack buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ekwall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shitstack's waist but Shitstack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ekwall off to one side.
Ekwall shoots in for a double leg but Shitstack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shitstack turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Shitstack. Those never looked like landing.
Shitstack lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Shitstack takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Shitstack lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A punch lands to the side of Ekwall 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ekwall misses with a head kick.
Ekwall has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shitstack finds it's way round the side to connect with Ekwall's head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Shitstack.

Ekwall is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
No luck for Ekwall with that takedown attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ekwall walks into a jab.

Ekwall dives in and scores a takedown into Shitstack's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ekwall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shitstack can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ekwall throwing strikes but missing.
Ekwall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shitstack is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ekwall throws an elbow that misses. Shitstack uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ekwall's guard. Nice move by Shitstack!

Ekwall pushes Shitstack off and gets back to his feet.

Ekwall shoots for a takedown but Shitstack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ekwall shoots in looking for a takedown. Shitstack tries to sprawl out of it but Ekwall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shitstack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shitstack swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ekwall.
Shitstack pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ekwall is out of range and Shitstack settles back down.

Shitstack feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ekwall's calf.
Shitstack motions for Ekwall to come forward. Shitstack throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Mac Shitstack seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Shitstack throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ekwall chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shitstack can pounce on him.
Ekwall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shitstack circles away quickly and effectively.
Ekwall misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ekwall throws a nice looking combination but Shitstack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ekwall sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Shitstack dips to his left and cracks Ekwall with an uppercut!
A clash of legs there as Ekwall blocks the low kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Shitstack. That snapped Ekwall's head back.
Shitstack fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ekwall has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wes Ekwall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Shitstack does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ekwall shoots for a double leg takedown but Shitstack sprawls well. He's pushed Ekwall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
