Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Riverton Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Stow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stow has chosen Wild Rover as his entrance music. Paddy Stow acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Riverton Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Paddy Stow!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper misses with a body shot.
Ripper swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Stow counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ripper is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Ripper misses with an uppercut
and Stow counters with an outside leg kick.
Stow slips a jab and a cross from Ripper.
Stow tries to clinch but Ripper moves away

so Ripper counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ripper drops back looking for a leg! Stow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stow manages to kick Ripper off! Ripper jumps back into Stow's guard.
Ripper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ripper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stow's head.
Ripper loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ripper accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ripper is looking to work some ground and pound but Stow has wrist control.
Ripper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stow looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ripper is one step ahead there.
Stow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ripper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ripper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ripper is looking to work some ground and pound but Stow has wrist control.
Ripper is in close to Stow's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ripper with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ripper drops back looking for a leg! Stow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stow manages to kick Ripper off! Ripper jumps back into Stow's guard.
Stow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Ripper is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stow utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ripper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ripper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stow's head.
Ripper tries to free his leg and advance position but Stow is retaining full guard.

Ripper drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stow dives on top into guard.

Ripper is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stow is aware though and is defending well.
Ripper is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ripper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stow slips nicely into half guard.

Ripper looking for submissions off his back.
Ripper is pressing down on Stow's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stow trying to control the position from guard on top but Ripper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ripper wants to sweep but no luck.
Ripper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stow's guard.
Stow keeping full guard, as Ripper tries to pass.
Stow wants to sweep but no luck.
Stow is looking to stand up but Ripper isn't so interested in that idea.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ripper throwing strikes but missing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riverton Ripper dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stow tries to clinch but Ripper moves out of range.
Ripper misses the body punch

and Stow counters with a head kick that drops Ripper to the mat! Ripper scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Paddy Stow seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stow closes the distance looking to clinch

and Ripper counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stow won't be happy with that.
Stow avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ripper.
Ripper misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Ripper tries for a kimura but Stow is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ripper has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stow is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ripper yanks on the arm and Stow is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ripper.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Riverton Ripper!
Riverton Ripper decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
