Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damon Dukes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Alberta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damon Dukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rocco Alberta!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A frustrated look appears on Dukes's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Alberta should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Alberta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dukes throws a hook to the side of Alberta's head but Alberta sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Alberta creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dukes's defenses.


It looks like Damon Dukes has been cut.

Dukes wants to get back to striking at distance but Alberta won't allow it.

Dukes is looking for a takedown.
Dukes working hard to break the clinch.
Dukes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alberta is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Damon Dukes will probably get the nod.

Dukes thows a body shot but no joy.

Alberta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dukes throws out the jab.
Alberta uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dukes.
Dukes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alberta on the side of the head.

and Alberta counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dukes won't be happy with that.
The strikes coming from Alberta are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Alberta stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Alberta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dukes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Rocco Alberta has been cut.
The fighters circling - Dukes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Damon Dukes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dukes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alberta moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dukes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dukes wants to get back to his feet but Alberta is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dukes looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Alberta puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Dukes is trying to stand up here but Alberta is controlling him well.
Dukes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alberta is working away from the top position though.

Alberta stops Dukes from getting back to his feet.

Dukes makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Alberta needs to keep his hands up - Dukes had a free shot at his head there.

and Alberta counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Alberta tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Rocco Alberta has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dukes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alberta has just dragged him back down to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alberta decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dukes to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Damon Dukes.
I think Dukes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
