Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hriday Kakkar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wojciech Fons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kakkar comes to the cage accompanied by The Call of Ktulu. Fons has chosen Fortunate Son as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Wojciech Fons will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kakkar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fons has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kakkar has managed to get both his arms back between Fons's legs - danger averted.

Fons is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fons wants to stand but Kakkar is controlling his posture from full guard.

Fons postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kakkar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fons, into his guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kakkar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fons sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fons has control of Kakkar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kakkar regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fons is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kakkar defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kakkar is having to fend off submission attempts from Fons, who is looking to sink in the choke. Fons doesn't have the hooks in though and Kakkar manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oh but Fons is tightening it up a little... Kakkar has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kakkar reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kakkar taps out! Nice BJJ there by Fons!

Wojciech Fons decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
