Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey Chaucer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie lands with a hook. Chaucer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gracie with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Chaucer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gracie. Gracie circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gracie lands with a straight right. Chaucer didn't see that one coming.
Gracie getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Gracie slips under a jab from Chaucer.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chaucer.
Chaucer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.
Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Chaucer is just out of range.

Gracie clinches up against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A short body shot lands from Gracie as the two fighters clinch.
Gracie has Chaucer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chaucer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Chaucer throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it.
Chaucer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.
Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Chaucer is just out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Gracie.
Gracie scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Chaucer tries to clinch but fails miserably

The crowd cheers as Chaucer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracie doesn't seem phased though.
Oh Chaucer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie scores with a one two! Chaucer had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chaucer misses the shot to the body.
Chaucer leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gracie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Chaucer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chaucer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Chaucer tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range.
Chaucer walks straight into a right hand from Gracie - that's dropped him! Gracie jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Chaucer from any more punishment! Chaucer complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
