Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diesel Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvatore Assante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - Shotgun . Assante comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lose Yourself kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assante takes a swing at Power's ribcage but misses.
Assante throws an overhand right that lands on Power's shoulder, as Power tries to avoid the shot.
Assante misses with a body shot.
Assante catches Power with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A head kick misses from Power.
Power closes this distance looking for a takedown but Assante circles away.
Assante scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Power gets tackled into the cage by Assante. Assante maintains the clinch.
Assante working aggressively here.
A short uppercut from Assante.
Power tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Assante smiles and moves away.
Assante scores with a head kick.

It looks like Diesel Power has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A punch lands to the side of Assante 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Power's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Assante connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Power scrambles back to his feet.

Assante gets a clinch.
Power wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A short uppercut from Assante.
A short right from Assante.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Power.
Power goes for a takedown attempt but Assante pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diesel Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Assante throws a head kick that misses.

Power closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Assante did well to prevent Power getting side control.
Assante pushes Power off looking to stand but Power dives back in and keeps control.
Power is controlling the pace.
Power is pressing down on Assante's thigh, looking to free his foot. Assante is holding on for now.
Power lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Assante is not content to let Power control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Assante kicks Power off and gets back to his feet.
Salvatore Assante is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Assante connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A looping hook to the body misses from Assante. Power does a little dance to reset his feet.
Power throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Assante's corner calls for a 1-2. Assante obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Power takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Oh Power is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Assante misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Power seems to have got his legs back now.

A jab from Power misses.
Assante scores with a push kick.
Power is breathing heavily.
Power tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Assante swivels and escapes.
Power shoots in looking for a takedown but Assante manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Power's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Assante throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A nice leg kick lands there from Assante.

Assante tries to close the distance and clinch but Power swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Assante throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Power misses with a two punch combination.
Assante is looking to clinch but Power is avoiding it.
Power swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Power slips a jab and a cross from Assante.
Power takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Assante pounces like a tiger and cracks Power with a vicious hook! Power is down but not out! Assante follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
