The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzroy looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bloodstone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fitzroy as he jumps to the side.
Fitzroy scores with a nice strike.

It looks like John Bloodstone has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fitzroy connects with a right hand. Bloodstone shakes it off.

Bloodstone shoots in and gets a takedown into Fitzroy's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bloodstone pushes down on Fitzroy's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Fitzroy controlling the position well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Fitzroy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bloodstone wants to stand but Fitzroy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fitzroy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bloodstone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bloodstone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bloodstone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fitzroy dives on top into guard.
Bloodstone is breathing heavily.
Bloodstone tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fitzroy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fitzroy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fitzroy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fitzroy drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Fitzroy as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bloodstone screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Fitzroy! Nice submission victory there!
