Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luciano Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vieira comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sweet Dreams Nightmare Mix kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vieira decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Vieira is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vieira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vieira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vieira doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vieira manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vieira gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vieira drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Vieira off! Vieira jumps back into Gracie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vieira advances to half guard.
Vieira frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gracie can't escape the position.

Vieira goes for an armbar but Gracie turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gracie.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie won't allow Vieira to sweep him here.

Vieira is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Vieira is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Vieira has escaped and now he's on top!

Vieira looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Vieira goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gracie turns into him and now he's in Vieira's guard.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vieira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Vieira's legs - danger averted.

Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vieira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vieira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vieira!

Vieira is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off.

Vieira is looking to sinch up a triangle. Gracie throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Vieira's body to avoid the submission. Vieira has instead reached around Gracie's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Vieira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
