Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryuji Baku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dias is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Marcelo D2 & Claudia - Desabafo / Deixa Eu Dizer. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dias throws a hook to the side of Baku's head but Baku sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Dias feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bakus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Dias might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Oh Baku is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dias checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Baku drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dias lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dias throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Baku's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Dias dives in looking to finish as Baku flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Dias's strikes! Dias is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Baku's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Baku was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
