Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen clinches up against the cage.
Olsen is trying to maintain a safe position but Ruehlen gets an underhook and turns Olsen into the cage.
Ruehlen manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Olsen pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Ruehlen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruehlen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ruehlen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Olsen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ruehlen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Olsen throws a nice looking combination but Ruehlen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gage Ruehlen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruehlen shoots in but no luck this time.
Ruehlen shoots in for a takedown but Olsen shows good takedown defense.
Olsen blocks a head kick by Ruehlen.
Olsen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Olsen looks to score with a jab to the body but Ruehlen is just out of range.
Olsen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Olsen tries to close the distance and clinch but Ruehlen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ruehlen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Egil Olsen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Olsen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ruehlen backs up against the cage.
Ruehlen gets a double leg takedown into Olsen's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ruehlen tries for a takedown but Olsen circles away easily
and Olsen counters with a left and a right that stings Ruehlen.
Ruehlen is rocked!
Nice takedown defense from Olsen. No joy for Ruehlen on that attempt.
Ruehlen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gage Ruehlen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Olsen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ruehlen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ruehlen takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oh Ruehlen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Olsen moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Olsen feints with a jab and clips Ruehlen right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Ruehlen is sent crashing into the canvas and Olsen leaps in for the kill! Ruehlen tries to get to his feet but Olsen is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Ruehlen is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Egil Olsen!
Egil Olsen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
