Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John The Butcher!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Butcher misses with an uppercut.
The Butcher waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Foe.
The Butcher loads up on a big right hand but Foe slips the punch.
Nice defenses there by Foe.
Foe throws a right hand that The Butcher ducks under and follows up with a left that The Butcher also avoids with ease.
Sloppy strikes from The Butcher. Those never looked like landing.
Nice sprawl there from The Butcher as Foe shoots in.
The Butcher tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Foe was well out of range. Poor timing from The Butcher.
The Butcher leaves Foe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The Butcher rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Foe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Foe dives in and grabs The Butcher's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Butcher pushes down on Foe's head and hops out.

It looks like Joe Foe has been cut.
Foe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by The Butcher.
No joy there for The Butcher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The Butcher shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Foe eats them both and turns towards The Butcher to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The Butcher throws a series of punches but Foe avoids them all with ease.

Foe feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to The Butcher's calf.
No joy there for Foe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Foe counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The Butcher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Foe feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to The Butcher's calf.
John The Butcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? The Butcher is fending him off so far but Foe persists. Nope, The Butcher circles away and we're back to standing.
The Butcher bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Foe walks into a jab.
John The Butcher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Foe finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Foe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Butcher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The Butcher tries to bum rush Foe with a series of wild strikes but Foe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Foe shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Foe clobbers The Butcher with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Foe throws a leg kick which misses The Butcher's front leg but catches the back leg as The Butcher tries to avoid it.

Foe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Butcher sprawls well. The Butcher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Foe gets slowly back to his feet.

The Butcher throws a nice looking combination but Foe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The Butcher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Foe.
Foe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from The Butcher.
The Butcher might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The Butcher bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The Butcher misses the shot to the body.
The Butcher throws a right hand that Foe ducks under and follows up with a left that Foe also avoids with ease.
Foe lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Foe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Butcher.

Foe has a takedown stuffed.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Foe.
Foe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Foe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Foe.
The Butcher clobbers Foe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foe feints and as The Butcher raises his hands in defense, Foe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Foe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John The Butcher will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Foe looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Foe is trying to control. The Butcher wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The Butcher is trying to get back to full guard.

Foe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Foe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Butcher tries to avoid it but Foe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Butcher to the ground. The Butcher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Foe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Butcher as he jumps to the side.

Foe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Butcher pinned against the cage. The Butcher gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Foe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The Butcher looks to land a combination but Foe avoids it well.
Foe dives in and grabs The Butcher's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Butcher pushes down on Foe's head and hops out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Foe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. The Butcher looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Foe will probably get the nod.

That's time! Foe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Butcher is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The Butcher takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The Butcher manages to reverse the position and now he's in Foe's guard. Nice work there by The Butcher.
Foe looking to control.
Foe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The Butcher is looking to control Foe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can The Butcher avoid being mounted?
The Butcher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The Butcher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The Butcher controls Foe momentarily but Foe frees himself.

Foe is looking to wear down The Butcher with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
The Butcher throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Foe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Foe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Butcher's head.
Foe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Foe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
