Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kashmir. Peppers has chosen Wanton Song -- Led Zepplin as his entrance music. Sergeant Peppers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A low kick from Peppers misses
and Silva counters with a nice leg kick.
Silva lands a head shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peppers looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sergeant Peppers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peppers misses with a low kick as Silva jumps back.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Peppers. Peppers gets slowly back to his feet.
Peppers looks gassed!
Peppers takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Peppers.
Silva thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Peppers if he has to take too many more of those.
Peppers misses with a straight right.
Peppers takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Peppers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Peppers has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Silva.
Silva throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A punch lands to the side of Peppers 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Sergeant Peppers has been cut.
Silva with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Peppers on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Silva scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Peppers doesn't seem bothered though.
Peppers on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.
Silva wobbles Peppers with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Silva dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Peppers to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Shogun Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
