Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Carpio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Chargaff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carpio comes to the cage accompanied by Manic Hispanic. Chargaff is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ludwig van Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata. Dave Carpio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chargaff lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Carpio moves in looking to clinch but Chargaff pushes him off.
Carpio feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Chargaff's calf.
Carpio buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Carpio pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carpio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chargaff swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carpio's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chargaff connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Carpio scrambles back to his feet.

Chargaff working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carpio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carpio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chargaff is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carpio defends it well.

Chargaff working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Carpio is trying to maintain the position but Chargaff is very close to passing his half guard.
