Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobo Breznekov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Frankie Edgar was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobo Breznekov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Edgar! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Breznekov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Edgar was covering up waiting for the punch and Breznekov finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Edgar keeping full guard, as Breznekov tries to pass. Breznekov is fighting to break Edgar's control of his arms but Edgar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Breznekov tries to free his leg and advance position but Edgar is retaining full guard. Breznekov trying to control the position from guard on top but Edgar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Edgar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Breznekov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Breznekov is really struggling to control Edgar but he's trying to hold on to the position. Breznekov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Breznekov is trying to get an arm triangle but Edgar is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breznekov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Edgar is not content to let Breznekov control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edgar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Breznekov off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breznekov tries to escape but Edgar has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Edgar scores with punches from the back.
Breznekov manages to reverse the position and now he's in Edgar's guard. Nice work there by Breznekov.
Breznekov advances to half guard. Breznekov content to control rather than advance. Breznekov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Breznekov trying to pass the guard but Edgar defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breznekov trying to control the action but Edgar is working from the bottom. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Breznekov in particular looking to stall. Breznekov wants to free his trapped foot but Edgar is holding on for dear life with his legs. Breznekov wants to work for an arm triangle but Edgar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Breznekov is keen to just control but Edgar is a slippery customer. Breznekov wants to pass the guard but Edgar is defending well. Breznekov wants to control but Edgar is keeping him busy. Edgar won't allow Breznekov to pass to mount. Breznekov is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Breznekov is just content to waste time from the top position. Edgar takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobo Breznekov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Breznekov looks for a takedown but Edgar sprawls well. Breznekov shoots in for a takedown but Edgar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Breznekov shoots in looking for a takedown. Edgar tries to sprawl out of it but Breznekov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Edgar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobo Breznekov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Edgar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bobo Breznekov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Breznekov trying to control but Edgar is working from the bottom. Breznekov prevents Edgar from getting back to his feet. Breznekov pushing down on Edgar's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Edgar won't allow Breznekov to pass to mount. Breznekov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Edgar keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breznekov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Breznekov wants to control but Edgar is keeping him busy. Breznekov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Edgar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Edgar is looking to control Breznekov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Edgar avoid being mounted?
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bobo Breznekov wasn't doing enough on the ground. Edgar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Breznekov napping and manages to drive through into side control! Edgar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Breznekov to see if he's OK. Breznekov is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Breznekov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breznekov sneaks back into half guard. Breznekov is refusing to be controlled, as Edgar sits in half guard. Breznekov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Edgar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Edgar's back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Breznekov is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Edgar knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Edgar for a finish. Breznekov patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Breznekov biding his time, controlling Edgar. Edgar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edgar defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Breznekov's arms. I would not like to be Edgar right now.

Breznekov looking to break Edgar's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Edgar remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Breznekov will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Breznekov working for a choke but Edgar reverses nicely into Breznekov 's guard. Edgar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Breznekov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edgar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edgar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Breznekov trying to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Edgar pushing down on Breznekov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edgar not landing any meaningful shots this time. Edgar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Breznekov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Edgar is fending him off so far but Breznekov persists. Nope, Edgar circles away and we're back to standing. Breznekov shoots in looking for a takedown but Edgar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Breznekov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Edgar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Breznekov quickly recovers to half guard. Edgar prevents Breznekov from improving his position. Breznekov works his way to full guard. Good work. Breznekov trying to control the position here. Breznekov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edgar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Breznekov is tightening it up a little... Edgar has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Edgar reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Edgar taps out! Nice BJJ there by Breznekov!
