Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vade Steamboat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steamboat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Enter Sandman. Anderson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Skeamz - Allow me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Luke Anderson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Steamboat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

It looks like Luke Anderson has been cut.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steamboat moves away.
Steamboat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Steamboat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Anderson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Anderson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Steamboat defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Anderson connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Steamboat to escape the position.

Anderson is trying to stick to Steamboat's back but Steamboat is turning into Anderson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Anderson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Steamboat.

Anderson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Steamboat is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Anderson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Steamboat's back instead.

Steamboat is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Anderson gets his way!
