Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Koschek!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown wants to clinch.
Brown avoids a kick to the body.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Koschek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Koschek rushes Brown and presses him up against the cage.
Brown lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Koschek pulls Brown into guard.

Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brown thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Koschek keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Koschek has wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown pushes down on Koschek's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Brown is looking for a kimura but Koschek is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brown to get the leverage.
Brown frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Brown working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Brown looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Brown punching from mount but Koschek doing a good job of avoiding damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Koschek wants to hold on but Brown pushes him away.

Brown working for a guillotine from mount but Koschek is in no mood to give up.
Brown thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Brown looking to ground and pound but Koschek is blocking nicely.

Brown has hold of Koschek's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Koschek manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Brown is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Koschek is surviving well by controlling Brown's body position as best he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brown quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Brown but it's paid off an Koschek is forced to tap! Nice work by Brown.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). George Brown!
