Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Honovi Blackfoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Kositzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kositzky has chosen Schwarz zu Blau as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Honovi Blackfoot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Kositzky!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kositzky moves out of range as Blackfoot strikes.
Kositzky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Blackfoot manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Honovi Blackfoot will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kositzky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blackfoot swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kositzky throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Blackfoot tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kositzky is in Blackfoot's guard.

Kositzky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Kositzky.

Kositzky tries to close the distance and clinch but Blackfoot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kositzky steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blackfoot.
Kositzky lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Blackfoot shoots in for a takedown but Kositzky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kositzky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blackfoot controls Kositzky momentarily but Kositzky frees himself.
Blackfoot is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kositzky is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kositzky is looking to stand up but Blackfoot won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Honovi Blackfoot just wasn't active enough.

Kositzky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Blackfoot napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Blackfoot tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Paul Kositzky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Blackfoot throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Kositzky counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blackfoot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kositzky is aware though and is defending well.
Kositzky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Blackfoot has an active guard here but Kositzky has managed to pass into half guard.
Kositzky content to control rather than advance.

Blackfoot actively working from the bottom here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kositzky perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Blackfoot is looking for a sweep. Kositzky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Blackfoot wants to control but Kositzky is keeping busy.
Blackfoot is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Blackfoot is trying desperately to improve position.
Blackfoot sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Still in half guard, Kositzky seems content to control.
Blackfoot wants to improve his position but Kositzky is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Kositzky was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Blackfoot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kositzky manages to avoid it.
Blackfoot looks to land a right hand but Kositzky moved out of range.
Blackfoot shoots for a takedown but Kositzky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blackfoot wants to get back to full guard but Kositzky has mounted him!

Paul Kositzky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kositzky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
