Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galvao comes into the arena with Pregador Luo - Bate Pesadão blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Galvao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Galvao will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Galvao defending well as Ferreira loads up on a big left hand.
Galvao shoots in but Ferreira avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice uppercut lands for Ferreira. That snapped Galvao's head back.
Galvao drops his hands momentarily and Ferreira takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Ferreira drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ferreira in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Ferreira stands up and beckons Galvao to his feet.
Galvao shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ferreira makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Galvao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Ferreira counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Galvao is breathing heavily.

Ferreira walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Galvao checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Ferreira counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch lands to the side of Galvao 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ferreira throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ronaldo Ferreira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Galvao misses with a takedown attempt
and Ferreira counters with a nice uppercut.
Ferreira lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Galvao can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Ferreira and Galvao drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Ferreira.
