The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fay shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fay was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fay thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Mecier is bucking up trying to escape but Fay cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fay controlling his opponent.
Mecier in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mecier tries to buck Fay off but he can't manage it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mecier manages to avoid the submission attempt.
You can see the frustration on Mecier's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mecier is not content to let Fay control the position.
Fay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fay advances to mount.
Fay trying to control but Mecier is having none of it.

Mecier gets back to half guard.
Mecier looking for submissions off his back.
Mecier wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mecier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fay pulls his head out easily.
Fay is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mecier has managed to free his arm - good work.
Mecier looking for submissions off his back.
Mecier is staying active underneath Fay, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mecier is looking to escape.
Mecier is trying to maintain the position but Fay is very close to passing his half guard.
Fay is looking to take a break and control but Mecier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mecier pushes Fay off looking to stand but Fay dives back in and keeps control.
Fay not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Fay is working for a submission of some sort.
Fay prevents Mecier from standing back up.
Fay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Mecier wants to get back to his feet.
Mecier scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Fay manages to mount him!
Mecier throwing hammer fists to the chest of Fay. What's that going to do exactly?

Fay is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mecier to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mecier shrugs it off.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mecier can't escape the position.
Fay working for a submission but Mecier is keeping him at bay.
Fay lands a nice shot to the head.
Mecier is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Mecier wants to control but Fay is having none of it.

Mecier is rocked!
Fay postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Mecier badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Fay around the waist but Fay pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Fay is the winner by TKO! Fay jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
