Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Traks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis DeYoung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Glen Traks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dennis DeYoung!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeYoung avoids the head kick by Traks.
Traks tries to clinch up but DeYoung circles away and keeps his distance.
Glen Traks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Traks takes the fight into the clinch.
DeYoung goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Traks tries to land knees in the clinch but DeYoung avoids the damage to the body.

DeYoung turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Traks is not content to let DeYoung control the position.

DeYoung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Traks is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

DeYoung is trying to work for a kimura but Traks is defending well.

DeYoung seems to be looking for submissions.

DeYoung wants to control but Traks is keeping him busy.

DeYoung is nestled in close to Traks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

DeYoung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Traks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

DeYoung decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Traks doesn't manage to clinch there - DeYoung circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

DeYoung got a little sloppy there for a moment and Traks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DeYoung has managed to get both his arms back between Traks's legs - danger averted.
Traks preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
DeYoung wanted to stand there but Traks had control of the position.

Traks isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. DeYoung stacks Traks on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by DeYoung!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
DeYoung throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
DeYoung seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Traks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Traks is trying to maintain the position but DeYoung is very close to passing his half guard.
Well, if DeYoung is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
DeYoung trying to control from half guard but Traks is working away.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

DeYoung seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and DeYoung counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
DeYoung wants to control from the top but Traks keeps moving.

Traks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and DeYoung defends well.
Dennis DeYoung has got the better of the ground game so far.
DeYoung pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Traks is keeping the position for now.

Traks has his foot on DeYoung's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DeYoung works his way back into a safe position though.
Traks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. DeYoung connects with a nice short shot to Traks's temple.

Traks has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for DeYoung. Oh but Traks has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! DeYoung goes limp - he's gone! Traks jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
