Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Goat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lincoln Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goat comes to the cage accompanied by Impaled Nazarene - Cult of the Goat. Hayes has chosen The Black Wings of Apocalypse as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Goat feints and then cracks Hayes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hayes down.

Goat shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goat showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hayes wants to get back to full guard but Goat has mounted him!
Goat wants to control the pace but Hayes is squirming around nicely.
Hayes is in a horrible position here. Goat smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Lincoln Hayes has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hayes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Goat scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goat is looking for a kimura but Hayes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Goat to get the leverage.
Goat not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Goat scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Goat tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hayes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hayes wants to improve his position but Goat is controlling well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hayes slaps away a takedown attempt from Goat, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hayes misses with a low kick.
Hayes looks to land a left hand but Goat moved out of range nicely.

Goat dodges the punch combination from Hayes.
Goat walks into a left hand.
Goat does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hayes walks into a stiff left hand from Goat.

Lincoln Hayes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hayes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Goat was well out of range. Poor timing from Hayes.
A head kick by Hayes misses
and Goat counters with a good low kick that Hayes was not able to check.
Goat dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hayes. That did some damage!
Goat swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Goat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hayes was well out of range. Poor timing from Goat.

Goat slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A low kick from Goat misses
and Hayes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Goat does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Goat clinches up with Hayes and pushes him back against the cage.

Goat manages to break the clinch.
Goat is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hayes can do to turn this around?
Hayes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hayes is looking to clinch but Goat is avoiding it.
Goat tries to move into range but Hayes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab lands there for Hayes.
Hayes is looking to slow Goat down with leg kicks.
Hayes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Goat as he avoids it easily.
Goat looks for the body kick but Hayes saw that one coming.

Hayes thuds his shin into the meat of Goat's side.
Goat bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Goat fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A combination from Goat does no damage.
Goat wants to slow Hayes down by chopping away at his legs.
Goat misses with a kick to the body.

Hayes gets a double leg takedown into Goat's guard.
Goat looking for a sweep. Not yet Goat, not yet.
Hayes trying to control the position from guard on top but Goat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Goat wants to sweep here but Hayes controlling him for the moment.

Goat is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hayes defends well.
