Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spike Spiegel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quantrell Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiegel checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bishop tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spiegel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bishop somewhat.
Spiegel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Spiegel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bishop has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Spiegel avoids the head kick by Bishop.
Nice uppercut there from Spiegel.
A cross from Spiegel lands.
Spiegel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bishop fails to land with a series of punches.
Bishop throws a lazy body kick
and Spiegel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Spiegel tries to clinch up.
Spiegel throws a head kick that Bishop semi-blocks.
Spiegel looks to score with a jab to the body but Bishop is just out of range.

Spiegel clinches.
Bishop wants to take the fight to the mat but Spiegel manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Spiegel misses with a body punch.
Spiegel tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Spiegel tries to throw a body punch but Bishop avoids it by throwing Spiegel back against the cage.
Spiegel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Spiegel throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Spiegel scores with a knee to the head.
Spiegel looking to throw knees to the head but Bishop is blocking nicely.
Bishop jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spiegel walks away with a smile on his face. Bishop gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Spike Spiegel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quantrell Bishop.
Bishop gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bishop.
Bishop misses with a body shot.
Spiegel throws a series of strikes that have Bishop backpedaling.
Bishop misses with a straight right.
Bishop throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bishop lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Spiegel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Spiegel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bishop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spiegel connects with a crisp jab.
Spike Spiegel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spiegel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bishop swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bishop shoots for a takedown but Spiegel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bishop misses with a head kick.

Spiegel forces Bishop back against the cage and clinches.
Bishop is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Spiegel to keep the fight standing.
Bishop managing to block the knees to the body from Spiegel.
Spiegel using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bishop has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Spiegel lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Spiegel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bishop blocks it with crossed arms.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spiegel throws a knee to the head but misses.
Spiegel will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bishop up against the cage.
Bishop tries for a takedown. No joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spiegel tries a knee to the head but Bishop blocks it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spiegel lands a left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spike Spiegel dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bishop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Spiegel clinches up with Bishop and pushes him back against the cage.
Spiegel lands a big knee to the head and Bishop goes down! Spiegel pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spike Spiegel!
A relieved looking Spike Spiegel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
