The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith has Falcao up against the cage in a clinch.
Falcao throws an elbow that misses.

Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Falcao pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Falcao looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.

Falcao seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Smith is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Smith shoots for a takedown but Falcao saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Falcao cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Falcao swivels and escapes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Falcao misses with a few strikes there.
Smith tries to clinch up.

Falcao drops Smith with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Smith looks back up at him and smiles so Falcao waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Smith is rocked!
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Falcao paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Falcao finish him?
Smith misses with a looping left.
Smith moves away from the strike by Falcao.
Falcao digs a good hook to Smith's body.
Smith looks gassed!
Falcao is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith.
Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mathias Falcao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Falcao drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Smith right on the button. Smith goes down! Falcao follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Falcao gets the win via TKO!
