PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Wagon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo McGarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wagon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Requiem For A Dream. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Wagon connects with a jab.

It looks like Leo McGarry has been cut.
Wagon shoots in looking for a takedown. McGarry tries to sprawl out of it but Wagon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGarry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and McGarry counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wagon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Wagon is looking to control McGarry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wagon avoid being mounted?

McGarry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wagon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McGarry throws an elbow that misses. Wagon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McGarry's guard. Nice move by Wagon!

McGarry had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wagon defends it easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGarry content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Wagon is rocked!
McGarry gets to his feet and stands over Wagon, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Wagon felt that one! McGarry unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Wagon from any more punishment!
