Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koko LaRue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LaRue's entrance music is Dead or Alive - Lover Come Back to Me. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Koko LaRue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eiji Kisaragi!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kisaragi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kisaragi tries to sprawl but LaRue drives through with a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
LaRue prevents Kisaragi from improving his position.

Kisaragi looking for submissions off his back.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Kisaragi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but LaRue pulls his head out easily.

Kisaragi actively working from the bottom here.
LaRue looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kisaragi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
LaRue with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

LaRue wants to work for an arm triangle but Kisaragi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kisaragi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but LaRue pulls his head out easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
LaRue is just content to waste time from the top position. Kisaragi takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Kisaragi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. LaRue stacks Kisaragi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by LaRue!
Kisaragi is trying to improve his position.
Kisaragi is letting LaRue control him for a moment.
Kisaragi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but LaRue wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
LaRue content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
LaRue tries to move to mount but Kisaragi blocks the move with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
LaRue has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kisaragi!

Kisaragi is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. LaRue locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Kisaragi is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Koko LaRue!
Koko LaRue decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
