Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jon Ricksin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Napier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Napier comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Welcome Home kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jon Ricksin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kris Napier!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ricksin as he jumps to the side.
Horrible takedown by Ricksin or perhaps it was just good defense by Napier which made him look bad.
Napier tries to clinch but Ricksin is having none of it.
Napier dips to his left and cracks Ricksin with an uppercut!
Napier tries to clinch but Ricksin moves out of range.
Napier tries to close the distance and clinch but Ricksin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Napier avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ricksin.

Napier tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ricksin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Napier is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Ricksin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Napier sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ricksin gets the takedown into side control.
Napier is trying to control Ricksin's posture but Ricksin avoids it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ricksin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ricksin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Napier defends it well.

Ricksin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Napier is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ricksin, into his guard.

Ricksin has his foot on Napier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Napier works his way back into a safe position though.

Ricksin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ricksin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
