Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badong Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dias might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Marcelo D2 & Claudia - Desabafo / Deixa Eu Dizer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas wants to clinch.
Dias misses with a few strikes there.
Dias misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dias uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vargas has time to react.
Sloppy strikes from Dias. Those never looked like landing.
Dias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dias stuffs the takedown.
Vargas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Vargas fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dias to the ground. Vargas is now in Dias's guard.
Vargas thows a big elbow that misses.
Dias is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Dias looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Dias is pressed up against the cage. Vargas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dias down to the mat. Dias avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Vargas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dias sprawls well initially but Vargas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dias tries to kick Vargas off but Vargas keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dias avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vargas.

Dias regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Vargas.
Dias uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Dias throws the left hand but Vargas avoids the punch easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dias!
Vargas tries for a takedown but Dias sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fabricio Dias has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Badong Vargas.
Dias misses with a straight left.
Dias looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vargas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vargas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vargas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dias was covering up waiting for the punch and Vargas finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vargas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Vargas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dias. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vargas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Vargas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dias's head.

Dias utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vargas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Vargas postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Dias covers up, he's hurt! Vargas keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Vargas and the ref steps in to end the fight! Vargas can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Badong Vargas!
