Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Shine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Shine!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shine is trying to defend but Rogers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Shine pushes Rogers off looking to stand but Rogers dives back in and keeps control.
Rogers wants to take a breather but Shine is having none of it.
Shine wants to get back to his feet.

Rogers seems to be looking for submissions.

Rogers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shine doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rogers.

Rogers seems to be working for a kimura but Shine defends the submission attempt.

Rogers looks to land a strike but Shine avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Shine can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rogers controls the pace.

Rogers stands up from Shine's guard - Rogers perhaps looking for a knockout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rogers checks a leg kick.
Sun Shine is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shine lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Rogers motions for Shine to come forward. Rogers throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rogers tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shine throws an overhand right that lands on Rogers's shoulder, as Rogers tries to avoid the shot.

Shine darts in and clinches Rogers up against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Shine.
Shine stops a takedown attempt from Rogers.
Shine lands a right hand.
Rogers has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shine after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shine is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rogers is defending well for now.
Rogers tries to pull guard but Shine holds him up against the cage and eventually Rogers drops back down to his feet.
Rogers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shine walks away with a smile on his face. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Shine lands a jab to the nose.
Rogers scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shine connects with a body shot that sends Rogers's belly button to the back.

A head kick misses from Shine.
Shine lands a glancing blow to the side of Rogers's head.
Shine misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Rogers counters with a stiff right hand.
Shine closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Rogers staying out of range there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shine lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Shine throws a head punch that misses.
Rogers blocks an elbow strike.
Shine has Rogers pressed against the cage, preventing Rogers from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rogers can't get the takedown.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shine misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rogers is trying to push Shine away but Shine has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rogers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Shine tries a body shot but Rogers blocks it.
Rogers drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shine pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A big left from Shine misses.
Rogers fails with a takedown attempt.
Shine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rogers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Shine with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Shine is looking to clinch but Rogers is avoiding it.

and Rogers counters with a series of strikes. Shine will be more careful next time no doubt.
Shine stuffs the takedown attempt from Rogers. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet.
Shine lands a leg kick that knocks Rogers off balance momentarily.
Shine misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rogers.
Shine looks to land a combination. Rogers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shine but Shine pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rogers has Shine pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shine manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rogers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shine is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Rogers is working Shine over with some ground and pound from side control.
Rogers sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Shine is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Rogers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shine, who protects the arm well.

Rogers is working Shine over with some ground and pound from side control.

Rogers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rogers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rogers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shine has escaped the position, nice work there.

Shine bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shine wants to clinch.

Rogers takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sun Shine seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Shine lands a nice shot to the body.

Rogers ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Rogers works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Rogers counters with a left and a right that stings Shine.
Rogers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rogers is looking to clinch.
Rogers shoots for a double leg takedown but Shine sprawls well. He's pushed Rogers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rogers wants to stand but Shine has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rogers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Shine scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Shine takes a swing at Rogers's ribcage but misses.
Shine throws a head kick but Rogers moves out of range.

and Rogers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Rogers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shine's waist but Shine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rogers off to one side.
Sun Shine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shine connects with a nice looking jab.
Shine pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Shine moves into the clinch successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shine misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Rogers goes for a takedown attempt but Shine pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Shine missing with a left hand there. Rogers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Shine throws a head kick that half lands.
Shine connects with a leg kick. Rogers looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Rogers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rogers sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sun Shine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Shine connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rogers momentarily.
Rogers throws a wild body kick that Shine sees coming a mile off.
Shine lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogers circles away quickly and effectively.
Shine throws a looping overhand right but Rogers ducks down to avoid it.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch but Shine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

No joy there for Shine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shine scores with a one two! Rogers had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shine.
Rogers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shine was well out of range. Poor timing from Rogers.
Rogers moves in looking to clinch but Shine pushes him off.

Shine lands a lovely overhand right.
Shine stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shine wants it to stay on the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shine is pressed up against the cage. Rogers has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shine down to the mat. Shine avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Shine scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Steve Rogers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Shine misses the jab.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Sun Shine.
I think Rogers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
