The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oshchepkov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oshchepkov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oshchepkov gets slowly back to his feet.
Davis drives through and clinches with Oshchepkov against the cage.
Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Oshchepkov gets caught flat footed, as Davis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oshchepkov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Oshchepkov in his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Oshchepkov passes into side control.
Davis is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oshchepkov advances to mount.
Oshchepkov looking to secure an arm triangle but Davis defends it well.

Oshchepkov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davis manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Oshchepkov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Oshchepkov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Oshchepkov is breathing heavily.
Davis is not content to let Oshchepkov control the position.

Oshchepkov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Oshchepkov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis is looking for a triangle but Oshchepkov pushes his legs off easily.
Oshchepkov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Oshchepkov drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Oshchepkov off! Oshchepkov jumps back into Davis's guard.
Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oshchepkov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Oshchepkov drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Oshchepkov off! Oshchepkov jumps back into Davis's guard.
Davis has his foot on Oshchepkov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oshchepkov works his way back into a safe position though.
Davis has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Oshchepkov doesn't defend quickly enough and Davis has managed to lock this one up! Can Oshchepkov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Davis on a fantastic submission victory.
