Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales comes to the cage accompanied by Rick Ross. Cote is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fort minor: Remember the name. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cote dives in and scores a takedown into Gonzales's guard.
Gonzales is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cote is controlling him.
Gonzales trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cote trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzales is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gonzales scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Gonzales throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cote was covering up waiting for the punch and Gonzales finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Cote is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gonzales is controlling him.

Cote is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Cote drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gonzales changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cote fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cote shoots for a double leg takedown but Gonzales sprawls well. He's pushed Cote's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Gonzales counters with a head kick that drops Cote to the mat! Cote scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Cote is rocked!
Ernest Gonzales has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Cote.
