PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kj Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stone might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Disturbed- Run. Malone is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stone regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Malone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Stone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Malone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Malone defends it easily.
Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stone has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Malone doesn't defend quickly enough and Stone has managed to lock this one up! Can Malone escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Stone on a fantastic submission victory.

Gavin Stone spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
