Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kip Flenderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Freak On A Leash. Kip Flenderson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kip Flenderson!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele throws a leg kick but Flenderson checks it.
George Steele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flenderson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Flenderson throws a lazy right hand but Steele sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Steele swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steele throws a leg kick which misses Flenderson's front leg but catches the back leg as Flenderson tries to avoid it.
Flenderson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Steele lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Steele cracks Flenderson with a good jab.
Flenderson wants to land a leg kick but Steele is out of range.
Steele throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Kip Flenderson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steele buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Flenderson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Flenderson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Flenderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Steele is just out of range.
Steele dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Flenderson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steele.
Flenderson misses with a wild body shot.
Steele lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A good leg kick by Steele.
Flenderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good leg kick by Steele there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Steele lands a slapping body shot.
Flenderson looks gassed!
Steele misses with a body kick.
Steele tries to clinch but Flenderson is having none of it.
A punch lands to the side of Flenderson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Steele misses with a two punch combination.
Steele slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice body punch from Steele.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Steele lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Flenderson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Flenderson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Steele thumps Flenderson with a low kick.
Flenderson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Steele rushes Flenderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Steele lands a left hand.
Steele tries to throw a body punch but Flenderson avoids it by throwing Steele back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele tries to land knees in the clinch but Flenderson avoids the damage to the body.
Steele lands a nice shot to the body.
Flenderson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Steele backwards.
Steele pushes Flenderson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Steele obliges.
Flenderson tries to land knees in the clinch but Steele avoids the damage to the body.
A short right from Steele on the inside.
Steele lands an elbow inside.
Flenderson managing to block the knees to the body from Steele.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Steele.
Steele with a knee to the head.
Flenderson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Steele misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Flenderson.
Flenderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Steele blocking some punches.
Still in the clinch, Steele scores with a nice short uppercut.
Steele softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Flenderson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Steele lands a body shot.
Steele avoiding damage as Flenderson throws knees to the body.
Steele throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Steele tries to work over Flenderson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Steele blocking some punches.
Steele tries to throw a body punch but Flenderson avoids it by throwing Steele back against the cage.
Steele lands a left hand.
Steele lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Flenderson or not.
Steele scores with a shot to the side of Flenderson's head.
Steele gets through Flenderson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steele lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


That has opened up Kip Flenderson's cut even more.
Steele landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Steele lands an uppercut.
Steele lands a shot to the body.
Steele lands with a right to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Flenderson takes a knee right on the jaw!
A short uppercut from Steele.
Flenderson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Steele lands an elbow inside that Flenderson shrugs off.
Steele makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.


Flenderson is rocked!


The cut above Kip Flenderson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Steele creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Flenderson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Flenderson drops to his knees and Steele pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Steele!
George Steele retains his light heavyweight title!
