Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopylov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Podogo circles away quickly and effectively.
Kopylov lands a high kick!
It looks like Leandro Podogo has been cut.
Podogo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kopylov loads up on a big right hand but Podogo slips the punch.
Podogo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Podogo prevents Kopylov from escaping the position.
Podogo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Podogo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kopylov dodges the ground and pound from Podogo.
Podogo scores with a couple of short elbows.

Podogo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Podogo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kopylov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

and Podogo counters with a big head kick but Kopylov shrugs it off.

and Podogo counters with an inside leg kick.
Kopylov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Kopylov sizes up Podogo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kopylov throws a head kick but Podogo moves out of range.

Podogo avoids the body shot from Kopylov.
Kopylov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A head kick misses from Podogo.
Podogo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Podogo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kopylov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Podogo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Podogo takes a jab right on the kisser.
Podogo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kopylov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Podogo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kopylov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kopylov misses with a wild body shot.
Kopylov scores with a jab. Podogo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

A solid leg kick lands there for Podogo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kopylov stuffs the takedown attempt from Podogo. Podogo gets slowly back to his feet.
Kopylov ducks under a wild hook from Podogo.
Kopylov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Vladimir Kopylov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Podogo. Kopylov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Podogo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Vladimir Kopylov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Podogo avoids the head kick by Kopylov.
Kopylov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Podogo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Podogo prevents Kopylov from getting back to his feet.

Podogo wants to control from the top but Kopylov keeps moving.
Podogo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Podogo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kopylov dives on top into guard.

Podogo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kopylov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kopylov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Podogo looking for a guillotine here but Kopylov defends easily.

Podogo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kopylov has his hands clasped together but Podogo extends an breaks Kopylov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Podogo.

A very excited looking Leandro Podogo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
