Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eki Vieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buford Tannen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieri throws a right and a left that Tannen avoids nicely.
Tannen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vieri avoids it really well and circles away.
Tannen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vieri's waist but Vieri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tannen off to one side.
Tannen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vieri sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Eki Vieri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buford Tannen.
Vieri fails to land with a series of punches.
Vieri is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Vieri ducks under a wild hook from Tannen.
Vieri looks to land a combination but Tannen avoids it well.
Tannen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Vieri connects with a crisp jab.

Tannen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Tannen stops Vieri from getting back to his feet.
Tannen wants to control but Vieri is keeping him busy.

Vieri might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tannen thows a huge punch but Vieri dodges it nicely.

Tannen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tannen prevents Vieri from standing back up.

Tannen maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Vieri could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Tannen has cracked it and Vieri is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Tannen!
