Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes to the cage accompanied by Enae Volare Mezzo. Sam Wood could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jin Tiger's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jin Tiger!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood stuffs the takedown attempt from Tiger. Tiger gets slowly back to his feet.
Wood tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tiger swivels and escapes.

Wood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wood lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wood wants to get up but he can't break Tiger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tiger is trying to control the position but Wood postures up.

Tiger is trying to maintain the position but Wood is very close to passing his half guard.

Wood is trying to trip Tiger. He has hold of a leg but Tiger is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wood persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Wood has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tiger's face.

Tiger's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Sam Wood overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wood fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tiger, pushing him back against the cage.
