PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between mikki Hiiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Collaterly Scoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiiri throws a series of punches but Scoba avoids them all with ease.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hiiri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hiiri wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Scoba, who protects the arm well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Scoba looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Scoba throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hiiri on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hiiri tries to get out of the position.

Hiiri stands and throws Scoba's legs to the side, diving into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hiiri manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Scoba manages to get himself to full guard.
Scoba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hiiri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that mikki Hiiri will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
