Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iso Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey JoeJoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey JoeJoe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Susi wants to clinch up but JoeJoe keeps it at a distance.
JoeJoe misses with the combination.
JoeJoe misses with a straight right.
Susi throws a low kick but it's checked well by JoeJoe.
Susi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
JoeJoe lands with a nice body punch.
Susi throws a series of punches but JoeJoe avoids them all with ease.
Susi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts JoeJoe, as that shot connected.
Susi shoots for a takedown but JoeJoe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Susi swats away the attempt to clinch by JoeJoe.
JoeJoe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Susi shoots in looking for a takedown. JoeJoe tries to sprawl out of it but Susi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. JoeJoe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Iso Susi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - JoeJoe has eaten all the pies!

Susi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling JoeJoe to score with a decent uppercut.

JoeJoe lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Susi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

JoeJoe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
JoeJoe lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Susi backwards.
JoeJoe slows down the pace here.

JoeJoe manages to break the clinch.
JoeJoe moves out of range of the strikes.
JoeJoe tests Susi's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Susi tries to move into range but JoeJoe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
JoeJoe wants to clinch but Susi slips to the side

and Susi counters with a nice double leg into side control. JoeJoe won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
JoeJoe is looking for a sweep.

Susi wants to control but JoeJoe is keeping him busy.

Susi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Susi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but JoeJoe is avoiding damage well.
Susi cracks JoeJoe with an elbow. That is naaassty.
JoeJoe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Susi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Susi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because JoeJoe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Susi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Susi has knee on belly and moves into mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
JoeJoe is squirming around, avoiding Susi's attempts to control the action.
JoeJoe tries to lock up and control but Susi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
JoeJoe is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
JoeJoe in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Susi thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Susi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as JoeJoe is looking to escape.
JoeJoe wants to hold on but Susi pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fighters circling - JoeJoe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

JoeJoe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
JoeJoe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Susi controls the pace.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Susi passes JoeJoe's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Susi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
