PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jude Hazel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and White Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White Black told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hazel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Black wants to clinch.
Hazel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Black looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A nice combination there by Black.
White Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black slaps away a takedown attempt from Hazel, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Hazel or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad.

Black tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hazel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Black swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hazel shoots in and drives through. Black sprawls well.
Black pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hazel back to the cage. Black follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Black gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hazel to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hazel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hazel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Black defends it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hazel works his way into side control.
Black pushes Hazel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hazel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hazel unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Black wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Hazel celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
