Hekmatyar comes to the cage accompanied by Open Season. Kurt Broughton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Broughton gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Broughton is trying to pull guard but Hekmatyar turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hekmatyar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Broughtons head.
Broughton looking to stall.
Hekmatyar lands with a left to the head.
Hekmatyar lands a right hand.
Hekmatyar fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Broughton goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

It looks like Kurt Broughton has been cut.
A head punch on the inside from Hekmatyar fails to land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Broughton blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Broughton wants to break the clinch but can't.
Broughton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hekmatyar has him pressed against the cage.
Hekmatyar has a couple of punches blocked by Broughton.

Hekmatyar drops Broughton onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Broughton is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Broughton is rocked!
A head punch on the inside from Hekmatyar fails to land.
Hekmatyar pushes Broughton against the cage. Hekmatyar is working some dirty boxing. Hekmatyar pushes off with a quick right hook! Broughton goes down! Broughton tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hekmatyar moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ahmad Shah Hekmatyar!
Ahmad Shah Hekmatyar decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
