Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noah Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago has chosen Get Em Up - Cypress Hill as his entrance music. Carlos Santiago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Ho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Santiago!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago misses with a body shot.
Ho misses with a takedown attempt - Santiago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ho.
A combination from Santiago does no damage.
Santiago throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ho stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Santiago throws a leg kick which misses Ho's front leg but catches the back leg as Ho tries to avoid it.

Santiago darts in and clinches Ho up against the cage.

Ho gets control of Santiago's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ho will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Ho is working an open guard so Santiago takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Santiago throws a head kick but Ho moves out of range.
Ho falls off balance throwing a combination
and Santiago counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santiago stuffs the takedown attempt from Ho. Ho gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Noah Ho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch but Ho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ho fails with a takedown attempt.
Carlos Santiago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Santiago uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ho.
Ho shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Santiago defends it nicely.
Santiago throws a left and a right that both miss

and Ho counters with a shoot takedown. Santiago fights it but they end up in guard.
Santiago is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ho is controlling him.
Santiago tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Santiago wants to get back to his feet but Ho is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Santiago is looking to stand up but Ho isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ho is looking to work some ground and pound but Santiago has wrist control.

Santiago wants to stand up but Ho is controlling him.
Ho passes Santiago's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Santiago tries to kick Ho off but Ho keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ho thows a huge punch but Santiago dodges it nicely.
Ho not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ho landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Ho is nestled in close to Santiago, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Santiago regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ho.

Santiago wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ho manages to pass to side control.
Ho winds up and cracks Santiago with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Santiago really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ho stops Santiago from getting back to his feet.
Ho slips a nice elbow through Santiago's hands, connecting with Santiago's forehead.

Ho is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ho seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Santiago is trying to control but can't.

Santiago manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ho paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like Carlos Santiago has been cut.
Ho fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Santiago works Ho's body with a nice hook.

Ho gets the takedown into side control.
Santiago looks gassed!
Santiago tries to escape but Ho is in control.
Santiago managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ho.
Santiago tries to bench press Ho off him but Ho keeps the position.
Santiago being controlled for a moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Santiago wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noah Ho dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ho dives in and grabs Santiago's left leg, looking for a takedown. Santiago pushes down on Ho's head and hops out.
Santiago tries to clinch up but Ho circles away and keeps his distance.
Santiago throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ho swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ho shoots in for a takedown but Santiago shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Santiago closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ho did well to prevent Santiago getting side control.
Ho moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Santiago tries to stand but Ho is controlling from the bottom.

Ho isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Santiago stacks Ho on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Santiago!

Ho sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Santiago tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ho.
Ho tries to roll over but Santiago keeps him under control.
Santiago tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ho manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ho manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Santiago manages to get himself to full guard.
Ho prevents Santiago from getting back to his feet.
Santiago is breathing heavily.

Santiago has control of Ho's left arm, preventing Ho from doing any damage.
Ho cracks Santiago with a solid left hand.
Santiago wants to stand but Ho is controlling the position.
Ho connects with a couple of short punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santiago works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Santiago is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ho is controlling him.

Ho lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Noah Ho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Santiago is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ho in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ho's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Santiago wants to get back to his feet but Ho is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ho drops back looking for a leg! Santiago is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santiago manages to kick Ho off! Ho jumps back into Santiago's guard.
Ho postures up in Santiago's guard and throws a big left but Santiago blocks it.
Ho throws a big right hand that misses.

Ho advances position into side control!

Santiago takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ho tries to advance to mount but can't.
Ho looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Santiago is avoiding damage well.
Ho has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ho scores with a couple of short elbows.
Santiago is trying to get back to his feet.

Santiago is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santiago is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ho is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Santiago is still in real trouble! Can Ho finish him?
Ho postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Santiago bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Ho and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noah Ho!
After winning the bout, Noah Ho thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
