PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Batts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michio Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is POD - Boom. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Suzuki scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Batts pushes Suzuki off looking to stand but Suzuki dives back in and keeps control.

Suzuki is looking for a kimura but Batts is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Suzuki to get the leverage.
Batts works his way to full guard. Good work.

Batts is looking to get back to is feet but Suzuki passes into side control.

Suzuki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Suzuki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Batts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suzuki on the ground.

Batts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Suzuki wants to finish this one by submission but Batts is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Suzuki.

Suzuki is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Batts is surviving well by controlling Suzuki's body position as best he can.
Batts tries to buck Suzuki off but he can't manage it.

Suzuki is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Suzuki extends the arm and Batts is forced to tap!
