PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernie Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Glen Davis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots in for a double leg but Hart sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hart cracks Davis with a good jab.

It looks like Glen Davis has been cut.
Hart swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bernie Hart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Davis.
Hart connects with a crisp jab.
Hart defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davis.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hart throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Davis shoots in and drives through. Hart sprawls well.
Davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hart throws a right and a left that Davis avoids nicely.

Davis slips a jab and a cross from Hart.

Davis feints and as Hart raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hart is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Davis is aware though and is defending well.
Hart lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Davis!
Hart thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Davis punching to the body and holding on for dear life.
Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Davis wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hart.
Davis sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hart moves nicely into side control.
Hart throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Davis is looking for a sweep.
Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hart looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The cut above Glen Davis's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Glen Davis's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Glen Davis's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

In his post fight interview, Bernie Hart started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
