The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico connects with a body shot that sends Brasco's belly button to the back.

Donnie Brasco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brasco shoots in and drives through. Rico sprawls well.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnnie Rico will probably get the nod.

Brasco walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Brasco connects with a leg kick. Rico looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Brasco throws a big shot that misses.
Rico throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brasco.
Good leg kick by Brasco there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Rico is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Brasco shoots for a takedown but Rico saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rico on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Brasco dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rico. That did some damage!

Johnnie Rico's cut is getting worse.
Rico needs to keep his hands up - Brasco had a free shot at his head there.
Rico is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Brasco is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rico.
